How to Change the Formatting of All Instances of a Word in MS-Word?

Step 1: Go to the beginning of your document.

Step 2: Press Ctrl+H to display the Replace tab of the Find and Replace dialog box (which will be as below).



Step 3: Enter the word for eg: Error ! in the Find what box.

Step 4: Press Tab to position the insertion point in the Replace With box.

Step 5: Click on the Format button and select Font from the menu. (If the Format button is not visible, click on the More button first.)

Step 6: Change the Color box so it contains the color red or make it Italic.

Step 7: Click on OK.

Step 9: Click on Replace All.
